Ever After Farms Citrus: What to Expect From Your Wedding Photos

Darling, if you've got your heart set on a citrus grove wedding, we need to talk about Ever After Farms Citrus.
This gorgeous white barn tucked into acres of working citrus trees in Polk City has become one of our favorite Central Florida venues to shoot — and with a 5.0 rating across hundreds of reviews, we're clearly not the only ones who feel that way. Right in our own backyard here in Polk County, it's an easy, no-traffic drive for our Lakeland couples, and still close enough for friends and family coming in from Tampa or Orlando to make a weekend of it.
Here's what to expect if Ever After Farms Citrus is on your venue shortlist — and why we think it's such a dream to photograph.
1. A Grove Full of Golden Hour
The whole property is built around its citrus grove, and it shows in every frame. Ceremonies happen beneath a century-old oak tree with the grove stretching out behind you, and that soft, dappled light through the leaves is exactly the kind of natural backdrop that makes portraits feel effortless instead of staged. Whether you're getting married in peak bloom season or just love the look of endless citrus rows, this is a genuinely photogenic setting from every angle.
2. A Reception Barn That's Already Camera-Ready
The reception barn comes fully heated and air-conditioned (a real relief on a Florida wedding day) and holds up to 200 guests, dressed in chandeliers and market lights that give every reception photo a warm, romantic glow without extra styling. Round or farmhouse tables, a dedicated dance floor, and a designated band/DJ space mean the room is built for great candids of your first dance and the whole night after.
3. Photo Ops Built Right Into the Package
This is the part we love most as photographers: Ever After Farms Citrus has genuinely fun, unique photo spots baked into the day. A vintage 1953 Chevy pickup, a couples' swing tucked into the grove, and an outdoor dance floor for a golden-hour first dance all give us more to work with than a typical barn venue. It means your gallery ends up with a real variety of shots — romantic, playful, and a little unexpected — instead of the same five poses every couple gets.
4. Bridal and Groom Suites Worth Getting Ready In
Getting-ready photos are so much easier when the room itself looks good. The bridal suite has its own private bathroom, and the groom's suite comes with a big screen TV, a pool table, and a PS5 — which, in our experience, means the guys are actually relaxed and having fun by the time we start shooting, instead of standing around waiting for the ceremony.
5. An All-Inclusive Package That Keeps Your Day on Schedule
Ever After Farms Citrus includes tables, chairs, centerpieces, florals, signage, and audio in one package, plus an open vendor policy — so you're free to bring in your own photographer and videographer team (hi, that's us). From a shooting standpoint, this matters more than couples realize: an all-inclusive venue with a well-run day-of schedule means we get the light we need, when we need it, instead of chasing a ceremony that's running an hour behind.
6. Room to Plan the Whole Weekend
With up to 10 hours of access on the wedding day, 2 hours for a Thursday rehearsal, and 2 additional hours for a weekday engagement session on the farm, there's real flexibility to build out a full wedding weekend — engagement photos included — without ever leaving the property.
What It Costs
Pricing at Ever After Farms Citrus runs roughly $5,000–$11,000 depending on the season and day of the week, with just $500 to secure your date. Rates shift throughout the year, so it's worth confirming current pricing directly with the venue before you fall in love with a date.
Final Thoughts
If you're picturing a wedding day with grove views, golden light, and a few genuinely fun photo moments your guests will be talking about for years, Ever After Farms Citrus delivers. It's one of our favorite venues to shoot in Central Florida, and if you've got a date booked (or you're still touring), we'd love to be the ones capturing it.
